Hillcrest High School, Dallas, Texas- Class of 1965

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

************************************************************************************************

I don’t know if this is timely enough to make messages on the web site, but for those that are traveling to the reunion from Austin/San Antonio, I-35 will be shut down in Round Rock for the weekend starting Friday evening, with detours through city streets. It’s going to be a mess for those returning Sunday. We plan to return via Highway 281. (It adds about 30 minutes to the trip, but is more scenic.)

Best regards,

Dutch Nelson

Peggy Womack and I have a contest going to see if more Dan D Rogers alumni show up or her Preston Hollow alums.

I have been trying to call everyone that I can find. I made an excell spreadsheet for Dan D. There are lots of names I haven't been able to find or talk to. If you have anyone's phone number or email address, please send it to me so we can contact them. There were some that went to Woodrow Wilson, and we need their info to get them the word.

Or if you have any contacts with Preston Hollow alumni send them to Peggy or the HHS website. Remember the goal is to have a great HHS reunioin.

peggywomack2001@yahoo.com

On the Contact tab of the spreadsheet, I have put parents names and the old phone numbers. If you should have time to do some detective work, that would be great.

My memory is not what it should be so please excuse any mistakes or omissions. If there are others that should be on the list, let me know. If anyone has an old DDR PTA book please let me know. My sources were, Joleta's orginal spreadsheet, my HHS PTA book from our sophmore year, and the 30th reunion booklet. I am waiting for the updated Spreadsheet from Joleta.

Also, many of us have siblings that are close in age. If any of your brothers or sisters or even those of you blessed to have parents still among us please encourage them to attend.

Come on DDR let's get our pictures on the Website. There aren't any so far that I have recognized. Start looking for those old pictures. Bring them to the lunch gathering. We can share and compare.

We need a tentative count so we will know how much space to have them curtain off, so let me know if you will be attending. Thanks and can't wait to see everyone.

Help make this the best reunion ever.

June 20, 2005: Lynda Poston-Smith cannot attend the Reunion: Any volunteers to work with the Chorale?

March 6, 2005: Lynda Poston-Smith writes: I may need to have my head examined, but if the Chorale can gather, I would be willing to rehearse and conduct them in a couple of songs - perhaps even a mini-revival of "Carousel". If you are interested please contact Lynda at lynda@lyndapostonsmith.com or see her website: www.lyndapostonsmith.com
